We welcome any and all elementary, middle and high school student-competitors to our Goddard High School Battle of the Drones Competition!
Lunch will not be provided , but there will be concession stands for purchase of food and drinks. Also, there are delis, a pizza parlour and fast food establishments within 3 blocks of our high school.
Agenda
Doors open at 7:00AM for teams to arrive and settle into their assigned rooms.
7:00-9:00 inspection and teams may practice.
9:00: opening ceremonies. Pledge of Allegiance, team introductions.
9:30-12:00 Alliance matches and solo matches
12:00-1:00 lunch
1:00-2:30 Alliance matches and Solo matches continue.
2:45 - 3:30 Alliance selection and Elimination matches
3:30-4:30 Awards and closing
Judging format
Judging and interviews will follow the traditional format for REC foundation drone events. Teams should bring their drone log books for our judges to inspect.

There is plenty of parking for school buses near our school. There is a baseball park diagonal to our school. Buses can park there.

Refund policy
Teams who have to withdraw must inform Mr. Exume at Lexume@schools.nyc.gov by 11/27/2026.
The withdrawing team will receive a full refund minus the $5 administrative fee.
If the event partner cancels this event a full refund minus the $5 administrative fee will be given.
