Canada West Aerial Drone Grand Prix
Welcome to the Canada West Aerial Drone Grand Prix, hosted by Vancouver Integem.
This event is an official RECF Aerial Drone Competition Scrimmage for the 2026–2027 season. It is designed to help teams prepare for upcoming qualifying tournaments by providing a full competition experience in a professional tournament environment.
Throughout the event, teams will have opportunities to:
• Practice Teamwork Missions
• Test Autonomous Flight Programming
• Improve Flight Skills Challenge performance
• Experience official match operations
• Receive feedback from experienced volunteers and referees
New teams are welcome. Coaches and students who are participating in their first RECF Aerial Drone Competition are encouraged to attend.
Event Capacity: 25 Teams
Registration is required in advance.
Lunch is not provided. Teams are responsible for bringing their own lunch and water.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before check-in to allow sufficient time for inspection and setup.
Parking is available nearby.

Emergency Information
The safety of all participants, coaches, volunteers, and spectators is our highest priority.
In the event of an emergency:
- Call 911 immediately for police, fire, or medical emergencies.
- Notify the Event Partner or the nearest event volunteer as soon as possible.
- Follow all instructions provided by event staff and emergency responders.
- If evacuation is required, participants must leave the building promptly through the designated exits and gather at the assigned assembly area.

Parking

A variety of restaurants, cafés, and grocery stores are located within walking distance of the venue.
Lunch will not be provided. Teams are encouraged to bring their own lunch or purchase food nearby.

Numerous hotels are available throughout Vancouver, including accommodations near Vancouver International Airport and Downtown Vancouver. Teams traveling from outside the Lower Mainland are encouraged to book accommodations in advance.

Judging
This event is an official RECF Aerial Drone Competition Scrimmage and will not include formal judging or judged awards.
The event is designed to provide teams with valuable competition experience, including:
- Teamwork Mission Matches
- Autonomous Flight Programming
- Flight Skills Challenge
- Tournament procedures and match operations
Teams are encouraged to use this event to practice their competition strategies, improve teamwork, and prepare for future qualifying tournaments.
Volunteers and referees may provide informal feedback when time permits; however, no Engineering Notebook reviews, team interviews, or judged awards will be conducted.

Refund Policy
This is a free event. No registration fee is required; therefore, no refunds will be issued.
If your team is unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible so that teams on the waiting list may participate.
Teams that repeatedly register but do not attend without prior notice may receive lower priority for future event registrations.
