General information
Welcome to the Drone Competition
Cadets, students, coaches, and instructors,
Welcome to the Drone Competition. We're glad you made the trip, and we're looking forward to a full day of flying and hard-earned points.
This event brings Fast Track flight zone, Teamwork, and Skills. It is student-led work, safe operation, and respect for every team on the deck. The cadets behind these controllers, coded, and flown. That work deserves a well-run competition, and we intend to give you one.
All drone matches will be conducted in accordance with the rules of the current Aerial Drone Competition season, published by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation at www.recf.org. Teams are responsible for reviewing the current game manual before their first match. Head referee decisions are final, and any question about scoring or match play should be raised at the field immediately following the match.
A few reminders: eye protection is required in and around all flight zones, drones fly only in designated zone area, and every team must pass inspection before competing. Adult supervision is required at all times.
Win or lose, take something home from the event— a fix that worked, a run that finally clicked, a conversation with a team that solved the same problem a different way. Make this an event to learn and grow from.
Good luck, and fly safe, and have fun.
*** Consession will be provided. Lunch plates of pulled pork sandwiches, chips, drink, and snack cake for $12.00
