This event will be an educational tournament designed to mirror a full competitive event with knowledge breaks and education sessions built into the schedule. There will be a slower more intentional pace to allow teaching moments for the students and volunteers at every opportunity.
Judging will be mock judging of notebooks and interviews with an emphasis on teaching practical skills to the teams. While no judged awards will be given, teams will get the chance to have a full judged experience in a low-stakes environment.
There will be a post-lunch break for a formal educational session for teams to learn about the design process, including specifics on notebook and engineering designs.
Tournament Champion and Solo Champion Awards will be granted, as well as custom awards for Best Notebook, Best Interview, Best Attitude, and Camaraderie.
Event will begin at 8am and light concessions will be available. A 45 minute lunch break is scheduled and the event should wrap-up before 5pm. Team and volunteer help with tear-down and clean-up would be appreciated.

Judging format
Judging will include physical notebook review and interviews for learning/teaching purposes only. Interviews will take place during skills matches.
No formal judged awards will be given. Judges will grant custom awards for Best Notebook, Best interview, Best Attitude, and Camaraderie.
