π General Information
Welcome to the Mississippi season opener for the Pinnacle RECF season! Jackson Prep will host the event at the Dining Hall where we will have 24 teams battle it out to become the winner of this new and exciting game.
This is a school only tournament for Inspire level
It is highly advised that teams either bring their lunch or have someone go get their lunches as there are many food places nearby. We will start qualification matches sharply at the indicated time on the agenda. With the start - teams MUST be at the fields to get to participate or get points for showing up.
There are no practice fields. As solo matches start, teams may run up to 3 of any coding or driver solos before they have to return to the end of the line. TEAMS MUST reset the fields after the referees set the score and give an all clear.
Space will be a little tight, but there will be space for the kids to run and play as well as parents to get away from the action(relax).
β οΈ Emergency Info
If there is an emergency, we have police and fire nearby as well as shelter for inclimate weather.
If there is an emergency, I will try to call the coach via the information on their registration information.
𧳠Travel Information
Use Google Maps to get to Jackson Prep in Flowood, but the building is at the rear of the campus from the main campus entrance red light. Buses MUST park in the front parking lot as the round-about near the Manning Center is a tight one for buses. Maps will be emailed out as the event gets closer.ποΈ Agenda
Keep in mind that the agenda can run faster or slower than normal due to many circumstances. If solo matches and interviews are done early or low participation, we will proceed down the agenda with a notice to the audience, coaches, and teams. The objective is to have fun, not waste time, but have the best competition possible.
Note: The agenda below is based on the HS type of tournament, and I will adjust as we get closer.
8am - Doors open
8:30 Drivers meeting
8:45 - Solo matches and interviews open - NOTE: if there is a gap in solo matches and interviews where no teams are participating, we will start qualifications early.
11:30 - Lunch
12:30 lunch ends and qualification matches begin
3:45 - 4pm qualification matches end
4:15 - Alliance selection
4:30 - Eliminations
After Eliminations are complete, awards will proceed
βοΈ Judging Format
ALL notebooks will be digital format. All notebook submissions MUST be done through the RECF events page and must be accessible for judges to view. Judges will be instructed to limit their time as standard procedure from the RECF. They will also use the standard rubric provided by the RECF.
Onsite interviews will happen before lunch at tables provided for interviews. Team must use their time wisely as skills and interviews will be happening at the same time.
