General information

Welcome to our REC Foundation ADC Competition at Avoyelles Public Charter School in Mansura, Louisiana! We are excited to welcome your team for a great day of competition, collaboration, and learning.

Important Reminders:
  • Team interviews will be conducted in person during the event.
  • Logbooks must be submitted digitally using the notebook submission link (TBD).
  • Notebook submission deadline: December 4 at 5 PM.
  • Please review the schedule on the Agenda tab and plan to arrive in time for the Team Meeting and drone inspection.

We’re always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make our events a success. There are a variety of roles available, from simply sitting at a table to check teams in to serving as a referee or judge. No matter your skill level or experience, there’s a way you can contribute!
No prior experience is required for most roles, but Head Referees and Judge Advisors must be certified. Courses are available at training.recf.org.

Judging format

We expect the following behavior and ethical standards at all RECF-sanctioned events:
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and reliability
  • Behave in a respectful and professional manner with all event participants, attendees, and RECF staff members
  • Exhibit maturity and professionalism when dealing with difficult and stressful situations
  • Respect individual differences
  • Respect the facility and equipment provided at an event
  • Follow all rules as listed in the current game manual(s)
  • Operate as student-centered teams according to the Student Centered Policy
  • Prioritize safety in actions and design
  • Demonstrate good sportsmanship, which includes supporting your alliance partners

These expectations apply to, but are not limited to, team members, mentors, parents, any adult associated with a team, Event Partners, and volunteers. The Code of Conduct may also apply to behavior outside RECF-sanctioned events when inappropriate actions are related to an event or to participating individuals. 

Judges will consider team conduct and ethics when determining awards. 

Violations of the expectations in this policy may result in consequences up to the disqualification of the team or organization from the current event and/or future events, and potentially removal from the program after review by the RECF.

Team interviews will be conducted in person during the event.

The safety of all participants, coaches, volunteers, and spectators is our highest priority. In the event of severe weather, an emergency, or any situation that impacts the schedule or operation of the competition, the EP will communicate important updates directly to the coaches using the contact information provided during team registration. Coaches will be responsible for promptly sharing any updates with their team members and parents.

Refund policy

If the Event Partner cancels the event:
Refunds will be issued by the Event Partner 

If a team withdraws or no-shows:
Due to the costs associated with event planning, refunds will not be issued.
