CTEEA CREC Comp Sci HS Qualifier

Welcome to the 1st annual CREC Computer Sci Qualifier. This amazing event will bring together teams from around Connecticut. Our event is a qualifier for the Connecticut State Championship.

Concessions will be available all day.

7:00 am Doors Open
7:15 - 8:30 Registration and inspection
8:30 - 9:00  Event meeting, Announcements and introductions
9:15 - 12:30 Qualification Rounds, Skills Fields Open
12:30 -12:45 Alliance Selection
1:00 - 4:00 Elimination Rounds & Championship Rounds
4:00 Awards

**Solo fields will be open from approximately 9:00 until the finish of qualifying matches 

•  In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.

In the event of bad Weather changes to the schedule will be emailed to team contacts

Options 

1 Event opening may be delayed to allow for travel.

2. Event may be cancelled due to the weather.

announcements will go out by 6:00 am.  all teams are encouraged to use their best judgement when deciding to attend.

If the event is cancelled due to Weather or other issue.  Refunds less any event partner expenses will be processed by CTEEA.  Refund requests need to be emailed to wmcdonough@monroeps.org or cteea01@gmail.com

REFUND POLICY:

Teams must contact the CTEEA at cteea01@gmail.com for refund or question about refunds.

If the CTEEA cancels the event: 

In the case of the event being cancelled by the CTEEA, refunds will be offered minus the Event Partner expenses.

If a team completes registration for the event, and then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Refunds will only be made available to teams that request cancellation of registration by Friday 10/16/2026 at 8:00am. No other refunds will be processed nor vouchers/credits issued for future events. Refunds will be processed by the CTEEA, not the REC Foundation.
