🎃 Welcome to Katy Robotics’ Annual KATY BOTOBER! 🤖

Katy Botober is rising again for the 2026–2027 RECF Achieve season, bringing a frighteningly fun day of Spooky Pinnacle competition!

Come dressed in your best Halloween costume and prepare for thrilling matches, fierce competition, and plenty of robotic mayhem. Teams from across the region will square off to see who can climb to the pinnacle—and who will be haunted by defeat!

7:30 am Doors open, pits open, registration open

7:45 am Volunteer training for Referees, Judges, and field staff

8:00 am Inspection starts

9:00  am Drivers meeting

9:30 am Solo Matches begin

9:30 am Qualifications begin

12:00 pm Lunch

12:30 pm Matches resume

1:00 pm Solo Matches Ends

2:10 pm Qualifications end

2:45 pm  Finals

4:30 pm Awards

Judging format

  • Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation.
  • A submission deadline is scheduled for 1 WEEK PRIOR to the event date. 
No notebooks will be accepted on the day of the tournament.

Refund policy

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

         Refunds will be sent. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

         A team may be transferred to another Katy Robotics Event if notified within 2 weeks. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then no shows:

         A team is still responsible for registration costs and may not be able to register for future Katy Robotics events.
