CTEEA University Of New Haven High School Qualifier

Welcome to the CTEEA University of New Haven High School Robotics Qualifier. This amazing event will bring together teams from around Connecticut. Our event is a qualifier for the Connecticut State Championship.

Solo Challenge Offered: Yes

Judging Format: All In-Person Judging

Pizza lunch will be provided for all teams. Each team will be given one large pizza for free. If your team would like more pizza, please contact Leah Austin <laustin@newhaven.edu> to coordinate.

7:00 am Doors Open
7:15 - 8:30 Registration and inspection
8:30 - 9:00  Event meeting, Announcements and introductions
9:15 - 12:30 Qualification Rounds, Solo Match Fields Open
12:30 -12:45 Alliance Selection
1:00 - 4:00 Elimination Rounds & Championship Rounds
4:00 Awards

**Solo fields will be open from approximately 9:00 until the finish of qualifying matches 

•  In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges. Digital copies won't be accepted. The University of New Haven is unable to print Notebooks for teams.

In the event of bad Weather changes to the schedule will be emailed to team contacts.

Options 

1 Event opening may be delayed to allow for travel.

2. Event may be cancelled due to the weather.

Announcements will go out by 6:00 am.  all teams are encouraged to use their best judgement when deciding to attend.

If the event is cancelled due to Weather or other issue. Refunds less any event partner expenses will be processed by CTEEA.  Refund requests need to be emailed to Leah Austin at laustin@newhaven.edu

PAYMENT INFORMATION:

If a team is bringing a payment in person please make all checks out to University of New Haven. All fees are due Friday 2/26/2027 Teams will not be allowed to participate without payment. 

Teams arranging payment through RECF will make checks payable to RECF. 

REFUND POLICY:

Teams must contact the University of New Haven at  laustin@newhaven.edu for refund or question about refunds.

If the CTEEA/ University of New Haven cancels the event: 

Refunds will be offered minus the Event Partner expenses.

If a team completes registration for the event, and then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Refunds will only be made available to teams that request cancellation of registration by Friday 2/26/2026 at 8:00am. No other refunds will be processed nor vouchers/credits issued for future events. Refunds will be processed by the University of New Haven, not the REC Foundation.
