Greenwich Academy Tier Takeover CT Qualifier

Welcome to the Greenwich Academy Tier Takeover CT Qualifier.   This event is a qualifier for the RECF Engage Connecticut State Championship! We look forward to having you join our event and a great day of robotics!

• A few items to consider:

  • Lunch will be available for pre-order.

  • Snacks will be available for purchase in addition to slices of pizza.

  • Remember to bring your Engineering Notebooks! A physical copy must be printed for submission.  Digital versions are NOT accepted.

  • Registration will begin at 7:15 am.  (Doors open at 7:00 am) 

  •  Teams running late must contact the event partner

  • Please make sure all of your teams/participants have completed the Participation Legal Release form for all participants prior to arrival.

Judging Format: All In-Person Judging

Tentative Schedule

• 7:15 a.m.- Doors Open and Registration Begins

• 7:30 - 8:45- Inspection at the main competition fields

• 8:45 - 9:00- Event meeting (at the main fields)

• 9:00 -12:00- Qualification Matches and Solo matches begin/ Solo Match Fields will be open

• 12:00-12:30 Lunch (We will run qualification matches through lunch, but the Solo Match field will close)

• 12:30-2:00 Qualification Matches Solo  matches continue/ Solo Match Fields will be open

• 2:00 - 3:00- Finals Matches

• 3:00- Awards

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in person on the day of the event.

Teams MUST bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.

We will not provide day-of printing access and will not accept digital submissions.

If the Event Partner cancels the event: Refunds will be available but the refund does not include the $5.00 that RECF charges. Total refund will be $70.00. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: NO REFUND is given.
