Travel information

Location info:

The event will take place in the 2nd floor Ballroom of the Mountainlair Student Union (1550 University Ave, Morgantown, WV 26506). Please note that the building opens at 8:00; exterior doors will be locked until 8:00. Elevators are available throughout the building.

Parking:

Free parking is available for our event in the Mountainlair Parking Garage.

Important Note: The garage has a maximum height of 6 feet, 8 inches. Taller vehicles will need to park in a short-term parking lot elsewhere on the WVU Downtown Campus. All WVU-owned short-term parking lots are free on Saturdays and Sundays. See here for WVU parking lot options:  https://transportation.wvu.edu/parking/downtown-parking

Larger vehicles not parking in the garage can drop off teams on North High Street: https://maps.app.goo.gl/RZxtS1p9AgHeVamHA. From there, teams will walk across the Mountainlair Green and enter the Lair on the second floor, very close to the Ballroom.

Bus info:

Please let us know if your team plans to arrive via bus, by emailing johanna.harmon@mail.wvu.edu. Be aware that bus parking may be challenging for this event, because there is no bus parking at the Mountainlair itself.

Buses can drop off teams on North High Street: https://maps.app.goo.gl/RZxtS1p9AgHeVamHA. From there, teams will walk across the Mountainlair Green and enter the Lair on the second floor, then look for the Ballroom.

Alternatively, buses may drop off at the front of the Mountainlair by pulling into the bus pull-off. Teams will enter the building through the front door, go downstairs to the basement, and then take the elevator to the 2nd floor.
