General information

We are excited to welcome teams to Gus Almquist Middle School @ 1000 Haybarn Ln. Hutto, Tx on Saturday, January 30th. This is the annual Hutto Hippo Texas State Region 4 Qualifier. We look forward to hosting your teams and having a great day of competition!

Judging format

Engineering Notebooks - REMOTE - Teams must upload a link their account on the RECF Events site by noon on Wednesday, January 27th. Late entries and physical notebooks will not be judged.

Team Interviews - IN-PERSON - Teams will be given their scheduled interview time at the Event Welcome Meeting.

Travel information

The school is located within 5 miles of several food and lodging options. There will also be food on site all day.

There is plenty of parking. If traveling by bus, please plan to park in either of the side parking lots.

Emergency information

The event will be cancelled only under extreme circumstances. If this occurs, teams will be notified through email. How we will move forward depends on why the event was cancelled, but we will most likely try to reschedule.

Refund policy

No refund given if coaches/mentors cancel less than 7 days prior the event or if the team is a no-show.
