South Korea Signature Event 2027

The South Korea Signature Event 2027 will be held January 22-24, 2027 at KINTEX in Goyang, Republic of Korea. Event setup and early team check-in will take place on January 21.

The event will host both RECF Engage Robotics Competition and RECF Achieve Robotics Competition.

The competition will utilize multiple competition fields, dedicated Solo Match fields, practice fields, judging areas, and team pit areas.

The event will include an Opening Ceremony, Event Meeting, Alliance Matches, Solo Matches, judging, championship rounds, an Awards and Closing Ceremony, and a special cultural program for participating teams and guests.

Detailed schedules and competition assignments will be published prior to the event.

January 21 - Setup / Early Check-In

Judging will be conducted in person in accordance with the current RECF Guide to Judging.

Team interviews and Engineering Notebook evaluations will be conducted as part of the standard RECF judging process. Engineering Notebooks will be evaluated according to the official RECF judging criteria.

Follow-up interviews may be conducted as needed during the award deliberation process.

Judged awards will be determined in accordance with the current RECF Guide to Judging and Student-Centered Policy.

The event will be held at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea.

KINTEX is accessible by public transportation from Seoul and the greater Seoul metropolitan area. International teams may travel to KINTEX from Incheon International Airport by airport transportation, taxi, or public transportation.

On-site parking is available at KINTEX. Detailed transportation information, recommended routes, parking information, team loading and unloading instructions, and hotel information will be provided to registered teams prior to the event.

Detailed venue and hall information will be updated following final confirmation of the competition hall.

In the event of an emergency, participants should immediately notify event staff or KINTEX venue staff and follow all instructions provided by venue security and emergency personnel.

Emergency evacuation routes and exits will be clearly identified throughout the venue. Event staff and volunteers will receive emergency and evacuation information prior to the start of the event.

KINTEX operates on-site security, fire prevention and emergency response services, as well as first-aid facilities.

Adult team leaders are responsible for the supervision and safety of their students throughout the event.

Detailed emergency contact information and the designated evacuation assembly point will be provided following final confirmation of the competition hall.

If the event is canceled by the Event Partner and cannot be rescheduled, registered teams will receive a full refund of the event registration fee.

Teams that choose to withdraw from the event may request a refund up to 30 days prior to the first official competition day. Refund requests received after this deadline will not normally be eligible for a refund.

Registration fees and any non-refundable processing fees already incurred may be excluded from the refund where applicable.

Teams that do not attend the event without prior cancellation will not be eligible for a refund.

Exceptional circumstances may be reviewed by the Event Partner on a case-by-case basis.

Teams must complete payment by the published payment deadline. Teams that have not completed payment by the deadline may be moved to the event waitlist.
