General information

The Sandhills Region of North Carolina is Calling.

We look forward to hosting our second year of events starting with this Fall Competition with qualifying positions for ADC Regional as well as JROTC National Events.  Once again our host location will be on the beautiful campus of Sandhills Community College in Blue Hall as hosted last fall.   The NJROTC of Union Pines Highschool will act as the host organization handling all the setup, operations, and breakdown at the event, as well as concessions.  We will also offer a lunch package in addition to the basic online registration; details will be sent to registered teams.

The event will start at 0800 hours and conclude at 1600 hours.

Judging format

Judging will take place throughout the event from 0900-1400.  Teams are responsible for meeting with Judges as they have availability between matches.  If the judges ask to meet with a team that has a pending match soon, it is the teams responsibility to let the judges know when they will be available next.

Flight Logbooks/Engineer's Notebooks will be submitted electronically.  Teams will share a link in advance of the competition that must be publicly accessible to anyone with the link.  It is recommended that teams actively use the logbook/notebook even during the competition to prepare for interviews and record the event itself as part of their experiences.

Note: The judges will all be wearing blue safety vests so you know who they are when they come to you.

Emergency information

In the event of Severe Weather, we will shelter inside Blue Hall.  Should Severe Weather be forecasted in advance of the event it will be rescheduled or canceled with refunds registered teams.

On-site medical for minor cuts and scrapes should be referred to the Event Coordinator (wearing a green safety vest), Chris Cabana who will have a minor first aid kit.  Major injuries should be immediately referred to 911 noting the location on campus; a courtesy notification to the Event Coordinator would also be in order.  If you do not have a cell phone to call 911, find the event Coordinator or a nearby person and have them make a call for you.

Refund policy

If a team withdraws they will lose their registration fee.  Until the payment deadline, they may however coordinate a transfer or their fee with an unpaid team, but recouping their payment is between those two teams; the event coordinator will not coordinate a refund.  Once coordinated they must both contact the event coordinator about their agreement and the coordinator will waive the registration fee for the replacement team.

If you participate in the lunch package, a partial refund may be made possible with the host depending on how much of the lunch goods have already been purchased.
