General information

This RECF Engage event is a qualifying event and is open to all Elementary and Middle School RECF Engage teams who have registered during the 2026-2027 year.  

The top 10 teams from the qualifying matches will form the 5 teamwork alliances to compete in the finals.

Concessions will be offered, but you are encouraged to take advantage of that. Please be sure to clean up your team areas before you leave.

Judging format

All judging will take place in person.  Referrees will score matches at the table, and all other elements will be scored using rubrics by experieced officals.  All teams should plan for an in person, 15-20 minute team interview.  Awards will be presented immediately following the competition.

Emergency information

In the event of an emergency, please find Ben Lawalin, Principal.  The site has an AED, multiple fire pull stations, a first aid kit, and a stop the bleed kit.  

In the event of expected severe weather, the tournement may be rescheduled for a later date.  Refunds will be issued to teams not able to compete on future date.  

Refund policy

Should a team withdraw, a full refund wil be issued if the withdrawal happens before December 1st.  To initiate the return process, please email blawalin@nspenmcer.k12.in.us.
