BAIMS Middle School Drone Competition

We welcome you to the BAIMS Middle School Drone Competition taking place on Saturday, March 13, 2027 at Bristol Arts & Innovation Magnet School. Doors will open at 8:00am and the event should be completed by 4:30pm, if not earlier.

This is a one day middle school qualifying drone tournament with a maximum capacity of 16 teams. Elementary teams may join however they will be competing with mostly middle school teams.

Coding Award (1)

8:00 AM - 8:45AM   Doors Open, Team Check-In, Inspections Completed,  Submit Logbooks during Check-In

8:45 AM  Qualification Match Schedule Created 

                (teams not checked in by this time will not be included in the Match schedule for the day)

9:00 AM   Judge Interviews Begin 

8:45 AM  Autonomous Skills Course Opens (MUST be completed by 1:30PM!)

8:45 AM   Pilot Skills Course Opens (MUST be completed by 2:00 PM!)

9:15 AM  Welcome and Flight Team Meeting in Gymnasium 

9:30 AM  Qualification Matches Begin

12:00 PM  45 Minute Lunch Break - All Fields Closed

2:30 PM   End Qualification Matches

2:45 PM   Alliance Selection 

3:00 PM Elimination Matches Begin

4:00 PM   Awards and Closing Ceremony

This event will have ALL In-Person judging.  Teams must bring physical copies of their logbook and submit it at team check-in.  Team interviews may be scheduled. Team qualifying matches take precedence over interview times; a team can be interview after their qualifying match is complete.

If the Event Partner cancels the event:

Refunds will be issued by the Event Partner & CTEEA minus REC Foundation processing fees:

• $5.00 per team registration

• 3% credit card transaction fee (if applicable)

If a team withdraws or no-shows:  Due to the costs associated with event planning, refunds will not be issued.
