Oyster River RECF Engage Tier Takeover Tournament

The 2027 Oyster River RECF Engage Tier Takeover Tournament is Saturday, January 9th, 2027 from 7:45 am – 4 pm.  Doors open at 7:30am.      

Location:  The Oyster River Middle School is located at 1 Coe Drive, Durham, NH 03824.  There is plenty of parking next to the soccer field or under the solar array.

Food:   We will have a basic concession stand with snacks and drinks run by the ORHS Robotics Team. Concessions will be on the 2nd floor. Pizza will also be available to order. The order form will be sent out just prior to the event. 

Engineering Notebooks: Engineering notebooks will be collected at the Team Check-In table. If you have a digital notebook, please print it out and bring it with you to the event.   Only hard copies will be accepted.  

General Information:

• For alliance matches, each team will play at least 6 matches.
• For solo matches, each team can play up to 5 total matches allocated between solo driving and solo coding as the team chooses.

• 7:30 Doors open
• 7:45-8:30 am:  Team Check-In and Robot Inspections
• 8:30 am:  Deadline for checking in.  Teams who have NOT checked in by this time will NOT be placed in the match schedule.
• 8:30-8:50 am: Opening Ceremonies.
• 9:00 am-12:00 pm: Qualification Team Matches. Solo Match Field  Open
• 12:00-12:30 pm:  Lunch. Solo Match Field Closed
• 12:30-3:00 pm: Qualification Team Matches. Olo Match Field Open
• 3:00-3:30: Final Matches
• 3:30-3:45: Awards

This event will have in-person judging. Engineering notebooks will be collected at the Team Check-In table. If you have a digital notebook, please print it out and bring it with you to the event.   Only hard copies will be accepted.

• Students must be supervised by their team's adult coach or chaperone at all times.
• If a session has to be canceled or moved (weather, school closure, or other emergency), registered teams will be notified by email using the contact information on RECFEvents.org. Keep your team's contact info up to date. The planned snow date for the event is Sunday, January 10th.

• Payment due: January 9th, 2027. 
• Registration closes: December 22, 2026.
• Team withdraws before January 9: Full refund of the entry fee (minus $5 RECF administrative fee) 
• No Shows: No refund.
