Surf to Summit Year 2

Welcome to Surf to Summit Year Two for Middle and High School teams. This event will be held at Green Mountain High School and we are looking to host a fun and educational event. The event will include dedicated alliance matches, solo matches and judging. Happy Flying!

Please complete the Participant Release Forms for all team members prior to attending the event. 

Included in the fee is a large pizza for each registered team. A follow up email will ask coaches to select pepperoni or cheese. There are also lots of local places to eat for families.  

 8:00 AM-8:30AM: Team Check in, Inspections and Pit Area set up. 

8:30 AM: Drone Team Captain's Meeting (Location: TBD) 

8:45 AM: Skills Fields Open for competition

9:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Communication Mission Interviews 

9:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Teamwork Qualification Matches

12:00PM - 12:30PM: Lunch 

12:30 PM - 1:30 PM: Teamwork Qualification Matches

1:40 PM- 1:50 PM: Teamwork Alliance Selection

2:00 PM- 2:45 PM: Teamwork Elimination Matches

2:00 PM: Skills Fields Close and Communication Mission Ends

2:45 PM - 3:15 PM: Awards (Subject to change)

Emergency: 

The Event Partner will always consider the health and safety of teams when deciding to hold an event should bad weather become an issue. The event will only be canceled if the school district is closed.  

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

We will only cancel the event due to an emergency or bad weather. We will provide as close to a full refund as possible in this extremely unlikely event (certain event funds such as the RECF handling fee must be spent before the event occurs and those will not be refunded). 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration and then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Once a team has paid for the event, no refund will be given. Teams who do not pay by the payment deadline will be moved to the waitlist and potentially lose their spot. If special arrangements are made for a team to remain registered for the event after the payment deadline, teams will still be expected to pay in full regardless of whether or not that team attends as we will be unlikely to fill the spot on short notice.
